Advent List

I was inspired by Lindsay over at Passionate Homemaking to make a list of simple things to do each day to celebrate this time leading up to Christmas.  We have done the countdown in the past with bits of chocolate behind doors in thin boxes, but reading this post inspired me to do a little more this year.  We loved so many of Lindsay's ideas, we decided to keep many of them.  It was fun to get input from the boys and talk about what they wanted to add to the list to make it ours. 


I don't have cute muslin decorated bags like she does, but I'm starting with the basics - a list!  The cuteness might come later.  

Buy a new Christmas album and listen to it
Make ornaments
Put up Christmas tree
Make popcorn garland
Make Christmas cookies
Make Christmas gifts
Watch a Christmas movie
Make reindeer candy canes
Make cranberry bread
Drive and look at Christmas lights
Make hot chocolate
Have a camp out in front of the Christmas tree
Make candy cane play dough and share with friends
Sing Christmas songs
Make pumpkin bread
Color Christmas pictures
Build a Lego Nativity Set
Assemble the gingerbread house with friends
Make gingerbread cookies
Call family and sing Christmas songs
Christmas shopping
Make Christmas goodies to give to neighbors
Read the story of Jesus’ birth
Watch Charlie Brown Christmas
